Projects for nature
The Natural Capital Carbon Registry welcomes projects for nature developed to support biodiversity conservation, sustainable land management, and climate change mitigation.
Each project is selected, validated, and verified in accordance with ISO 14064-2:2019, as part of structured environmental programs for high standards of quality and transparency.
The projects for nature admitted into the registry focus on fragile ecosystems, protected areas, and high ecological value landscapes, often impacted by biodiversity loss or degradation caused by human activity.
A transparent model, from project selection
to certification
Projects for nature must demonstrate:
Inclusion in a recognized environmental management program
Tangible benefits for both the natural environment and the climate
Third-party validation and verification in compliance with ISO 14064-2:2019
The ability to generate measurable, monitorable, and lasting NCCUs
Particular attention is given to biodiversity protection in protected natural areas, wetlands, and other vulnerable ecosystems that shelter important plant and animal species threatened by environmental degradation and climate change.

Description
Located in an area of exceptional ecological importance, the wetland carbon and environmental management project takes place within a site recognized under the Ramsar Convention and considered strategic for the conservation of waterbirds, freshwater and brackish ecosystems, and coastal vegetation.
The project includes

- Continuous monitoring of the wetland area
Through targeted actions, the project contributes to wetland habitat management through wetland carbon and environmental management, emissions reduction, carbon sequestration, and biodiversity protection, with outcomes continuously monitored and verified.
